PowerScrew 14mm without Holding Arms
The PowerScrew is a double telescope screw for use in palatal expansion devices. It is ideal for use with a sintered framework. The PowerScrew (no arms) is available in three sizes (10mm, 12mm, and 14mm installation size).
Activation is simple, the 8cm long flat wrench can be quickly and safely used by the patient on the hexagonal nut.
The PowerScrew is ideal for narrow palates and can accommodate a growing palate. By changing the hexagonal nut for the next larger size, the expander can continue to be used without fabricating a new appliance.
One turn (6 flat surfaces*) equals 1mm expansion (0.17mm per flat surface); every second flat surface is marked with increasing points.
*Every hex nut features six flat activation surfaces.
*Contains nickel
